Hi there. my name is Ray and I am the proud owner of Ray's Way Driving School. I have been involved in the transport business for most of my life in one way or another. Passing my own driving test on the first attempt back n 1977 at the tender age of 17,i am also a licence holder for a motorcycle along with my PCV coach and bus licence, which the latter I have held for over 40 years.
I am based in Ryde Isle of Wight and offer lessons to the immediate area on the west side of the island but can be available to the whole Island if the need arises and there is more than one client around your area, if you are in this circle why not give me a try. I'm a very laid back instructor who can get the most out of each pupil and can cater for all kinds of abilities. We'll be serious when we have to be but we will also have a great deal of fun while you learn to drive.
I have also recently been passed as a MiDAS minibus assessor in conjunction with the Community Transport Association.

MiDAS minibus training: start from £110 please call for rates.
I can offer an advanced Pass Plus scheme which is taken after your test, this will improve your overal driving skills which in turn lowers your car insurance. At a cost of £300 this covers 6 one hour modules.
If you need to fast track your learner driver experience, this can be tailored to your needs and prices on request as a personal plan will need to be written accordingly.

What can I offer you:
Nervous driver I can deal with that we are all nervous when we have to tackle anything new.
Do you have a live in Nannies or Au Pair new to the area I can help with a familiarisation drive around your area.
Not confident with your driving I can deal with that too by offering confidence booster lessons.
Worried about your elderly parents driving. Elderly drivers may need some help to with their driving. I can arrange driving assessment programmes.
Been away from driving for a while but have a licence and want to drive again, no problem we can deal with that too with a refresher course designed purposefully for you. Fast track learning is also offered again a designed purposefully training package will be written for you.
For newly qualified drivers a Pass Plus course which gives you further training in the art of driving in areas not covered in your driver training which once passed will help with your car insurance premiums.
I offer a door to door service I can also collect or drop you at your place of work, school, collage and offer one to one based tuition. You pay for a lesson you get the whole lesson no time wasting, the time you've booked is the time you get.
I am a fully qualified driving instructor registered with the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) I have also undergone a strict criminal records check which in turn give's you peace of mind during your driving lesson that you are safe and never compromised in any way.
I pride myself on the quality and enthusiasm that I show to my clients during their time learning with me. I am an easy going laid back instructor with bags of patients and a willingness to pass on my skills to the best of my ability to all of those willing to put in the efforts needed to pass their driving tests.
I have also recently passed my MiDAS mini bus assessors course which allows me to asses your driving skills and provide in house training to ensure that you get the most from your driving experience in both safe driving and health and safety with a classroom seminar looking at all aspects of mini bus driving.
I currently hold and have held a full pcv licence for the past 40 years, therefore if you own a coach company or any coach services I can offer relief driving. if one of your drivers are absent or need time away, contact me and I can help fill those gaps!
